ESPERIENZE DI RICERCA LA TRADIZIONE DELL'ARTIGIANATO
Polidori Ceramics was founded in Pitigliano in 1977 on the hills of the Tuscan Maremma. The founder Roberto Polidori at the beginning was interested in painting; in 1977 he approached instead the world of ceramics. In 1979 he founded his own workshop with the aim not only of recovering the ancient techniques of usual pottery production, but also of redeveloping the figure of the ceramist in a territorial context that had seen his shops closed for decades. From 1983 to 1986 he has collaborated with various European artists and opened the laboratory for didactic experiences and professional training. Since 1986 he has been creating ceramic accessories for architecture and furniture. The first interior creations (public spaces, bathrooms, kitchens) date back to 1990, when the elements and ceramic coating had absolute priority.
From his ceramics, much appreciated and part of many public and private collections, we understand how Roberto Polidori conceives his work in a well-rounded way.
