ARTE DA INDOSSARE ESPERIENZE DI RICERCA
Atelier Ceramiche Gori was founded in 2009 in Castelfiorentino, between Siena, Pisa and Florence. It gathers centuries-old wisdom and knowledge, which find their roots in places of excellence of artistic ceramics in Tuscany: Montelupo Fiorentino for majolica, Sesto Fiorentino for porcelain and Impruneta for terracotta. In 2014, the store was opened in San Gimignano.
Atelier Ceramiche Gori is the result of the meeting of two artisans Riccardo Gori and Silvia Ferraro.
Riccardo Gori comes from a long experience cultivated in many fields of ceramic art: forging vases on the potter's wheel, experimenting with glazes for porcelain and stoneware, building and designing ceramic stoves, and constructing furnaces.
Silvia Ferraro, free from stereotypes thanks to the fact that she had no specific background in the field of ceramics, contributed, with her sensitivity and ability to innovate, to explore new approaches and in particular the one that led the company to invent a line, completely original, of porcelain jewelry. For the innovativeness of such work, Ceramic Review magazine dedicated an article to the Atelier in February 2016.
