 ESPERIENZE DI RICERCA 

Karin Putsch-Grassi moved to Italy in 1982. After her studies at the Istituto d’Arte of Florence and at Goldsmiths College of London, she opened her ceramic studio in the Valdarno Valley. From the eighties until now her artworks were constantly evolving towards a more abstract direction, although her ideas would come from the outside world. Her activity was and is always based on the use of the hand thrown vessels, through which one is able to create infinite artistic possibilities: big vases on its own, but also miniature vases, which, only joined together to other small vases, give artistic value to the artwork. That is how her new artistic line was born: the FIGULINAE.
