Claudio Pisapia founded "Montis Pescalis Ceramiche" laboratory in 1995. Each product is made entirely by hand, using technics of ancient tradition. Claudio's interest in experimenting determines a continuous evolution in his production. The archaeological sites of Maremma have influenced the production of the laboratory, where is proposed a reinterpretation of Etruscan art through the raku technique.
In the last eight years Claudio has brought his passion for music into the laboratory, integrating it with the ceramic art: by combining these two, the result was the creation of transverse flutes and percussion instruments. The firing used is the “bucchero”, a black monochrome technique that distinguishes Etruscan ceramics. His flutes are very easy to play even for those approaching music for the first time. Some are built with scales for playing jazz and blues, some for Irish, medieval and meditation music.
