In her studio Taftique, Jules translates the old tapestry tradition in modern artworks, inspired by art and nature. With the manual tufting technique she creates scenes and textures with relief, in a style between abstract and figurative. The yarns used – wool, silk, cotton, mixed - come from Prato and North-Italy. In April 2022 she was listed on the HOMO FABER guide.
During her Master in Art Textiles (cum laude) at the Florence Fine Art Academy, Jules collaborated with the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio. In 2021 she won the Lorenzo il Magnifico Award, 4th place at the Florence Biennale. In May 2022 she won the second prize at the Tamara Art Award in Venice and in June she participated with three large tapestries at the ‘Masterly’ exhibition during Milan Design Week. In August 2022 one of her tapestries will be displayed at the Chianciano Biennial.
